Silkwarms

Silkworms live for only two or three days after laying eggs. About 36.000 to 50.000 eggs are laid, and these are carefully stored at the silkworm farm until they are ready to hatch. The eggs hatch into caterpillars, which feed on mulberry leaves. Soon the caterpillars are ready to spin their cocoons. Not all caterpillars can spin silk cocoons. Only the caterpillars of a silkworm moth known as ‘Bombyx mori’ can do such spinning.

This caterpillar has special glands which secrete liquid silk through its lower lip. The liquid produced later hardens to form fine strands. The caterpillar makes its cocoons using these strands. The threads on the outside of the cocoons are rough, while those inside are soft and smooth.Some fullys cocoons are heated. This kills the pupa inside. The cocoons are then put into hot water to loosen the fine threads. Finally, these threads are reeled off the cocoons.

Lion

Lion is an animal from cat gen. Lion is a carnivore, so they usually eat meats. Lion has a strong body like tiger and a fur in their tails. Male lions and female lions are different. The difference is in their heads. The male lion have fur in their head and the female lion haven’t. The weight of male lion is about 225 kilograms and the weight of female lion is about 150 kilograms. They live in a forest or grassland.

Lion can be found in South Africa, Timor Timur and India. But because of the hunter want their fur, the habitats of lion dropped drastically. The lion are famous in South Africa especially in Savannah land. They are known as “King of Savannah” because of their bold and bravery. They owned the Savannah as their own land. Their numbers in Savannah are many too. They usually live in group. In that group, male lion is larger than the female lion because the male lion is the strongest lion and they are needed to protect the female and their cubs. The lion have their own territory. They always hunt in group. They hunt zebras, deers, and the other herbivore animal. They have their rival that they can said enemy. It was hyena. Hyenas live in group too, but they only act at night.

Fish

Fish are animals that live in water. Fish have fins that help them to swim. Most fish have slimy skins covered with scales which are very small and can hardly be seen.

Fish breathe through gills. These look like a comb and lie on each side of the head. Fish take in water all the time. The water flows in through the mouth, over the gills, and out through the sides of the head. When a fish takes in water, it is not drinking but breathing, and the gills absorb oxygen from the water.

The body of a fish is made up of the head, the trunk, and the tail fins. There are many different kinds of fish which have many different shapes an colors. Some fish are long and thin, while others are flat and rounded. Most fish have bodies which are broad at the trunk region and narrow towards the head and tail.

Dolphin

For many years, many people believed that the cleverest animals after man were the chimpanzees. Now, however, there is proof that dolphins may be even cleverer than these big apes.

Although a dolphin lives in the sea it is not a fish. It is a mammal. It is in many ways, therefore, like a human being.

Dolphins have a simple language. They are able to talk to one another. It may be possible for man to learn how to talk to dolphins. But this will not be easy because dolphins cannot hear the kind of sounds man can make. If man wants to talk to dolphins, therefore, he will have to make a third language which both he and the dolphins can understand.

Dolphins are also very friendly toward man. They often follow ships. There are many stories about dolphins guiding ships through difficult and dangerous water.

Butterfly

Butterflies have life cycle are egg, larva, pupa, and adult. butterflies come comprise are true butterflies the skippers and the moth butterflies, butterflies have body, appear of antennas, and beautiful wings. the wings of butterflies usually have many color like green,purple,blue,etc. the size of butterflies are small,medium, until large size we can find butterflies in the garden on the mountain or many more place that find flower because butterflies need essence of flower to eat. butterflies not consist in wild animal because butterflies cute,beautiful,and friendly. but sometimes conceited butterflies not become a rare animal because we usually find butterflies in the garden or just flying around our home. actually butterflies not a protected animals.

Blueberries

Blueberries, cranberries, and huckleberries-like dark skinned bunch grapes-contain restorative, a potential anticancer agent. That’s a new finding from preliminary data from ARS collaborative studies with Rutgers University-New Jersey and Ag Canada, Kent ville, Nova Scotti. Restorative protects dark-skinned bunch grapes from fungal diseases and provides health benefits to consumers, including protection from cardiovascular disease. The compound’s anticancer potential warranted its examination in other fruits.

Using gas chromatographic and mass spectrometric procedures, the scientists measured the restorative content of 30 whole fruit samples of blueberry, cranberry, huckleberry, and related plants representing 5 families and 10 species of Vaccination fruit. They found that several samples contained varying amounts of the compound. Analysis of extracts of the skin, juice/pulp, and seed of muscadine grapes showed that its concentration in fruit skin was highest. Levels in the juice/pulp were much lower than in either skin or seeds. Researchers are continuing to analyze more Vaccination and muscadine samples. Future research goals will include enhancing production of restorative in selected species.

Birds

Birds are interesting flying animals. They are vertebrates and warm blooded animals. They belong to aves class and they can be found all over the world.

There are many kinds of birds. Earth bird has special characteristic. They have different morphology according to their food and their habitat. Some of them eat seeds, pollen, fish or meat. There are some species that live in land and the others live in water. Land birds live on their nest.


Female birds have specific tasks. they lay eggs and feed their baby, Beside that they look for foods for their baby.

Antibiotic is a drug produced by certain microbes. Antibiotics destroy other microbes that damage human tissues. An elephant is the largest and strongest of all animals. An elephant looks very clumsy and heavy and yet an elephant can move very quickly.

The elephant is very intelligent animal. Its intelligence combined with its great strength makes an elephant a very useful servant to man. Elephant can be trained to serve in various ways such as carry heavy loads, hunt for tigers and even fight. An elephant is really a smart animal.
